Sr. AI/ML Ops Engineer

This opening is for a Senior AI/ML Ops Engineer in Bengaluru, where the role offers broad ownership, cross-functional collaboration, and the chance to solve complex platform challenges across teams and disciplines. The position is aimed at someone who enjoys variety, building scalable systems, and shaping the way AI/ML solutions move from experimentation to production.

What You Will Do

• Lead the design, development, and overall architecture of dependable, scalable AI/ML Ops platforms and pipelines.
• Package AI/ML services for production deployment in a way that keeps them reproducible and easy to interpret.
• Build automated CI/CD pipelines that speed up model release cycles.
• Set up and tune training and inference infrastructure using tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, or serverless environments.
• Put monitoring systems in place to track model health, data drift, and response latency; experience with Monte Carlo is preferred.
• Automate retraining and related data workflows so models remain accurate over time.
• Support the deployment of foundation models, fine-tuning processes, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation stacks, including vector databases and knowledge graphs; experience with AWS Bedrock is preferred.
• Manage GPU and CPU usage effectively to reduce cloud cost while keeping inference fast and responsive.
• Partner with data scientists, data engineers, and software engineers to move models smoothly into production.
• Maintain version control and governance for data, code, and models using tools such as MLflow.
• Apply data security practices and ensure alignment with governance and compliance requirements.
• Keep up with emerging data and AI technologies and look for ways to improve the organization’s data infrastructure.
• Investigate and resolve complex platform or data issues to keep systems stable and reliable.
• Take on additional duties as needed.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience supporting enterprise SaaS products that require strong availability and scale.
• Background handling large volumes of structured and unstructured data from multiple sources.
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining AI/ML Ops platforms with an emphasis on scalability, reliability, efficiency, and security.
• Ability to work with product engineering teams and shape designs around data, AI, and analytics needs.
• Strong system design experience and familiarity with AI/ML tools and frameworks in very large, petabyte-scale environments, especially within the Databricks Lakehouse ecosystem.
• Practical experience with AI/ML workflows using Databricks, MLflow, Mosaic AI Agent Framework, Unity Catalog, Vector Search, and Knowledge Graph.
• Exposure to AI/ML framework integration tools such as LangChain and LangGraph.
• Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, or GCP; AWS-hosted data platforms are preferred.
• Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.
• Working knowledge of modern software engineering practices including Kubernetes, CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, monitoring, observability, and alerting.
• Ability to design for cost efficiency and optimize solution spend.
• Must be legally eligible to work in India on an ongoing basis.
