Role overview
As a Service Advisor, you play a key part in shaping the customer ownership journey and supporting the overall success of the Aftersales team. This role combines technical understanding of vehicles with confident communication, helping ensure repairs and servicing are completed correctly the first time, promoting additional value-added services, and building long-term customer relationships.
Key responsibilities
- Provide a premium customer experience that follows the Porsche Service Process.
- Explain technical matters clearly to support upselling and help the department achieve its targets.
- Oversee workshop repair activity and keep customers informed with timely progress updates.
- Manage Direct Dialogue interactions, service needs, and product/service recommendations in line with manufacturer expectations.
- Support showroom visitors with service bookings and accessory sales, including handling excess booking volume.
- Verify appointment details with customers in advance of their visits.
- Look after customer vehicles on site and manage key allocation.
- Produce service invoices with accurate technical explanations that meet manufacturer standards.
- Coordinate and assign work to Service Technicians to maximise efficiency in partnership with the Service Team Manager.
- Maintain compliance with RICS, Warranty Audit, FCA requirements, and complete all necessary training and accreditations.
Requirements
- Must hold a full UK driving licence.
- Previous automotive experience is essential, ideally gained in a premium dealership environment with a solid understanding of vehicle systems and repair workflows.
- Ability to apply FCA principles, including Treating Customers Fairly, to deliver positive customer outcomes.
- Strong customer focus with a consistent commitment to satisfaction.
- Experience working effectively in a busy, fast-moving setting.
- Clear communication skills for both customers and colleagues.
- Confidence in recommending and selling services or products where suitable.
- Team-oriented approach with the ability to contribute to a positive working environment.

- Fixed working pattern: Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 6:00pm, plus 1 in 4 Saturdays on a rota from 8:00am to 1:00pm.
