About the role
Join a global team focused on improving product value, strengthening component choices, and driving procurement-led productivity across multiple business groups. In this role, you will support high-impact initiatives that contribute to better margins, stronger supply chains, and more competitive products. The position operates within Honeywell’s Value Engineering and Component Engineering Center of Excellence, which partners closely with engineering and procurement functions to deliver measurable savings and implementation results.
What you will do
- Plan, lead, and deliver CE transition and supplier transition programs as well as sourcing-related cost reduction initiatives in collaboration with Engineering, Quality, Sourcing, Manufacturing, and OM teams.
- Coordinate cross-functional execution to ensure projects stay on schedule and move from planning through implementation.
- Support initiatives such as supplier shifts to high-growth regions, optimization of the supply base, mitigation of supply risk, and value engineering improvements.
- Build a strong pipeline of new projects by generating ideas and working closely with the procurement organization.
- Create solid business cases, track productivity gains, and follow each project through to full implementation.
- Identify execution risks early and take steps to reduce or remove them.
- Maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders across the business group and raise blockers or delays when needed.
- Facilitate productivity workshops to expand the project pipeline and help close identified gaps.
- Monitor project progress, summarize status, and prepare updates for senior leadership.
What we are looking for
You should bring strong project management capability in a demanding business environment, along with procurement, sourcing, or supply chain experience. The role also calls for comfort working with global teams, handling technical and business stakeholders, and supporting decisions with analysis and sound judgment.
Must-have qualifications
- B.E. or B.Tech. / M.E. or M.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering.
- At least 6 years of experience in supplier transition project management, strategic sourcing, supply chain, or commodity sourcing.
- Hands-on exposure to value engineering and component engineering, along with knowledge of component engineering methods.
- Strong business communication skills for working with global partners, local teams, management stakeholders, and customers to gather requirements.
- Ability to work with stakeholders to meet technical objectives within project and program constraints.
- Active involvement in project planning and execution with attention to technical risk management.
- Understanding of product certification requirements.
- Experience in a global team setup.
- Project management and/or contract management experience.
- Good decision-making ability backed by analysis, experience, and judgment.
- Global sourcing experience.
- Strong problem-solving ability.
- Fluent English communication skills.
Preferred strengths
- Knowledge of purchasing systems.
- Strong communication and collaboration mindset.
- Good negotiation ability.
- Well-organized with the ability to prioritize and solve problems effectively.
- English fluency; additional languages are an advantage.
- Experience in planning, negotiations, and agreement or contract management.
- Good technical understanding of procurement and sourcing.
- Working knowledge of SAP.
