Role overview
This hourly Sales Associate position focuses on creating an excellent in-store experience. The associate supports customers by building rapport, helping them choose merchandise, suggesting suitable products, and handling purchases. The role also contributes to sales growth, store performance measures, and a well-organized selling floor while working alongside store operations teams to help the location meet its goals.
Key duties
- Take initiative and stay accountable for personal targets, store priorities, and day-to-day tasks.
- Welcome shoppers, offer attentive support, and create a friendly environment that makes the visit more enjoyable.
- Use cross-selling and recommendation techniques to match products with customer needs and improve sales results.
- Develop real connections with customers to encourage repeat visits and loyalty.
- Complete transactions accurately and efficiently, while responding to questions, returns, and concerns with professionalism and care.
- Keep merchandise displays attractive, maintain pricing/signage accuracy, support fitting room standards, and help with recovery and restocking throughout the day.
- Use available training resources and feedback to strengthen product knowledge, selling ability, and overall performance; stay current on products, promotions, policies, and store events.
- Help build a positive team atmosphere by collaborating with coworkers, sharing knowledge, and recognizing individual and team successes.
- Assist with store operations such as fulfillment, pricing, promotional setups, product placement, and other assigned tasks.
- Follow safety, security, and asset-protection procedures to help reduce shortages, maintain inventory accuracy, and lower risk in the assigned area.
Skills and working requirements
