Retail Operations Associate

Role Overview

We are looking for a Retail Operations Associate in Singapore to help run store operations smoothly, support team performance, and strengthen sales through disciplined execution across staffing, stock control, and administration.

Staff Management

• Partner with HR and Area Managers to bring in, train, and grow retail team members.
• Set up coaching plans and development support, including immediate feedback and periodic performance reviews.
• Coordinate workforce planning, attendance tracking, and shift schedules with AM/AAM and HR.
• Handle one-to-one conversations, team huddles, appraisals, coaching sessions, conflict handling, and disciplinary processes.
• Encourage, acknowledge, and enable the team while building a workplace culture grounded in accountability and open feedback.
• Keep the team well structured and aligned so store sales and productivity stay strong.
• Take a hands-on leadership approach on the shop floor and help maintain a positive, cooperative environment.

Stock and Merchandise Management

• Collaborate with the Inventory team to ensure the store maintains healthy stock levels and an orderly layout.
• Supervise deliveries, stock checks, and upkeep of the stockroom.
• Review sales patterns, top-performing items, and slow sellers to share inventory recommendations.
• Track competitor moves and assess how well collections fit the market.
• Create improvement plans based on sales data and team feedback to lift store performance.

Operations and Administration

• Make sure the store follows SOPs, legal obligations, safety standards, HR policies, and operating best practices.
• Streamline store routines to improve efficiency and support team well-being.
• Manage store records, documentation, and reporting with support from the relevant departments.
• Oversee store expenses and maintain cost discipline.

Requirements

• A diploma or degree in Business, Retail Management, or a similar discipline is required.
• 0 to 2 years of retail experience is preferred, and recent graduates may also apply.
• Working knowledge of retail operations, inventory handling, and customer service basics.
• Good communication and people skills, with the ability to engage, guide, and inspire a team.
• A customer-first mindset and a practical, proactive approach to daily work.
• Willingness to work in a busy retail environment, including weekends and public holidays.
• Strong organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritise effectively.
• Comfort with Microsoft Excel.
• Collaborative attitude, initiative, and a lead-by-example mindset.

Work Environment

This is an on-site retail role based in Singapore. The position is suited to someone comfortable being active on the sales floor and supporting store operations directly.
