The position requires close control over timelines, budgets, quality, and regulatory compliance, while also serving as the main point of contact for sponsors. In addition to leading cross-functional teams through all stages of clinical execution, you will help shape proposals, contribute to business development efforts, and influence study design strategy. This is a high-impact role in a fast-moving clinical research environment where strong operational leadership helps advance patient outcomes and medical innovation.
Key Accountabilities
- Take ownership of global clinical trials from start to finish, covering Phase I through Phase IV studies, and keep delivery aligned with schedules, budgets, quality expectations, and applicable rules such as ICH-GCP, SOPs, and local regulations.
- Serve as the main sponsor contact and escalation lead, maintaining strong governance and a high standard of client service throughout the study lifecycle.
- Guide project managers and cross-functional teams by coordinating study operations, addressing risks, solving issues, and keeping execution aligned with both tactical and strategic goals.
- Plan and monitor study delivery activities, including study management plans, vendor coordination, milestone tracking, and completion of key deliverables across global sites and partners.
- Handle financial stewardship for assigned studies by managing budgets, forecasts, revenue recognition, and out-of-scope work tracking with accuracy and discipline.
- Contribute to business development and request-for-proposal efforts by bringing strategic input, preparing bid defense materials, and representing project management in client and internal meetings.
- Maintain clear communication with internal teams and external sponsors to support alignment, decision-making, and timely progress across all phases of the project.
- Coach and mentor project teams while also supporting SOP development, continuous improvement efforts, and stronger organizational practices.
