Role overview
Euro Mechanical is seeking a remote Project Control Specialist to oversee the commercial and control side of ongoing manpower projects. This role will handle commercial planning, cost management, schedule optimization, contract administration, monthly revenue recognition, invoicing coordination, and broader project control tasks. The position requires close collaboration with Project Managers, clients, Finance, and internal teams to maintain commercial discipline and ensure smooth project execution.
Key responsibilities
- Administer contractual records and commercial documentation, including renewals, extensions, and other related contract files.
- Support the commercial planning and execution of manpower projects within approved budgets and agreed contract terms.
- Handle monthly invoicing work, including invoice drafting, validation, summary preparation, customer approvals, and follow-up for supporting documents.
- Work with Project Managers, Coordinators, Operations, Finance, and clients to ensure subcontract and project costs are properly reflected in monthly revenue recognition.
- Track subcontractor budgets, purchase order requests, PO revisions, contract value usage, and procurement follow-ups.
- Update ERP records accurately for new project categories, sales pricing, mobilized staff, employee codes, and hour journals.
- Prepare and release monthly hour journals in ERP using site timesheets as the source data.
- Build monthly revenue and cost forecasts together with the Operations team.
- Assist with ICV claim summaries and end-user approvals needed for ADNOC invoicing.
- Review project schedules, study schedule movements, evaluate work sequencing, identify critical path items, and prepare commentary for monthly progress reporting.
- Spot activities that may affect project timelines and develop Critical Items Action Reports.
- Support cost-saving efforts throughout execution to help keep spending within budget.
- Maintain clear communication, coordinate stakeholders, prepare internal reports, and follow company procedures and policies.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a closely related discipline.
- PMP certification will be considered an advantage.
- At least 10 years of Oil & Gas experience with a well-regarded company, including hands-on exposure to project finance, project administration, commercial planning, and project controls.
- Strong background in cost-loaded schedules, revenue recognition, invoicing, contract administration, purchase order management, forecasting, and project reporting.
- Working knowledge of MS Office, Dynamics 365, Primavera, MS Project, and other project scheduling/control tools.
- Solid understanding of manpower project operations, subcontractor cost monitoring, timesheet-based invoicing, ERP updates, and customer approval workflows.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with Operations Managers, Business Unit Managers, Planning & Projects Control teams, Finance, Project Administrators, clients, and subcontractors.
- Excellent communication, coordination, analytical thinking, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
- Core strengths should include collaboration, proactive communication, customer orientation, adaptability, strategic thinking, trust-building, business understanding, and emotional intelligence.
