Production Supervisor

Position Summary

This role is for a Factory Supervisor to manage day-to-day activities in a diamond jewellery manufacturing unit. The person in this position will oversee a team of 50 to 100 employees, ensure production goals are met, and keep quality and operational performance on track.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate 100 to 150 factory workers across different manufacturing departments, including manpower planning and allocation to match production needs.
• Monitor production flow, support smooth schedule execution, and make sure customer orders are completed on time.
• Maintain strong quality standards and workmanship in diamond jewellery production, identify delays or inefficiencies, and introduce corrective actions.
• Work closely with the production, quality control, inventory, and management teams to keep operations running efficiently.
• Coach, train, assess, and support employees to develop a capable, engaged, and disciplined team.
• Enforce company rules and safety procedures to maintain a secure and productive workplace.
• Oversee the proper use and upkeep of machinery, equipment, and tools.
• Compile daily, weekly, and monthly production reports for management.

Experience

The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of supervisory experience in diamond jewellery manufacturing, with direct responsibility for a workforce of 100 to 150 employees. A solid grasp of manufacturing workflows, production planning, and quality assurance is essential. The role also calls for strong leadership, organisation, and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines consistently.

Skills and Communication

Excellent verbal and written communication, strong interpersonal ability, and the capacity to work with cross-functional teams are important. Fluency in English and Hindi is required. Computer proficiency and exposure to production management systems will be considered an advantage.
