Product Architect

Role Overview

Data Nexus is hiring a Product Architect to join the team in Abu Dhabi and help shape sophisticated SaaS products, transactional platforms, and data-led systems from the ground up. The role focuses on structuring products as complete systems rather than treating them as separate screens or isolated features.

This position is not centered on UI design, and it is also different from a traditional product management role. The work sits at the overlap of product architecture, system logic, UX structure, and business/data constraints.

What You Will Do

• Develop full product architecture for advanced SaaS platforms.
• Convert business needs into clear system models, including flows, states, and entities.
• Set the underlying transaction logic, core rules, and invariants that govern product behavior.
• Partner with designers to build state-led experiences instead of screen-first layouts.
• Work closely with engineering on system breakdown, scalability choices, and data flow/persistence design.
• Spot unnecessary complexity in products and simplify where possible.
• Review existing products and platforms to uncover structural gaps and recommend architectural improvements.
• Help plan for high-pressure situations such as data loss, legacy-system limitations, and scaling challenges.
• Contribute to major strategic calls, including whether to build or refactor, whether a platform should remain a product, and whether an MVP deserves deeper system investment.

Minimum Qualifications

• Proven background in designing sophisticated digital products such as SaaS tools, platforms, or marketplaces.
• Strong ability to think in terms of systems, states, flows, and constraints.
• Solid understanding of product architecture beyond standard UX or product management methods.
• Experience collaborating with engineers, designers, and analytics or data teams.
• Ability to break down complexity and rebuild a simpler, clearer structure.
• Comfort working in ambiguous, high-stakes situations.
• Strong written and spoken communication skills in English.

Preferred Experience

• At least 5 years of experience working on complex digital products.
• Direct exposure to one or more of the following: large-scale SaaS, transactional platforms, data-intensive systems, or rebuild/migration projects.
• Experience with product discovery in constrained environments.
• Background in taking products beyond MVP scale.
• Experience modernizing legacy or overly complex systems.

Nice-to-Have Background

• Exposure to system design, engineering, or data architecture.
• Experience with e-commerce or fintech products.
• Familiarity with pricing, payment, or transaction logic.
• Use of analytics to guide product decisions.
• Experience working in or around MENA / UAE digital markets.
• Hands-on exposure to Telegram WebApps or similarly constrained environments.
• Ability to explain product decisions clearly to founders and senior leaders.

The role is based in Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates and is a full-time onsite position.
