Role overview
NZ Post is looking for a Processing Officer for its Akura Road branch in Masterton. The role sits at the heart of the parcel network, helping prepare parcels and freight so couriers can deliver them across New Zealand. It involves practical, hands-on work in a busy team environment.
Pay and work schedule
- Hourly pay starts at $26.75 from 1 July.
- A night-rate allowance applies until 6am.
- Working hours are Tuesday to Saturday, 4am to 8am.
What the job involves
You will be responsible for sorting, combining and sending out parcels and freight at the Masterton site. The work supports daily delivery operations and contributes to the wider movement of goods through the network. The role may also include forklift-related work, and the employer is open to training the right person.

- You need to be available for the stated Tuesday to Saturday early-morning shift.
- A restricted driver licence is required.
- You should be willing to train on a forklift.
- This is a physically active position, so you must be comfortable lifting items up to 25 kg.
