Role Overview
This full-time non-management position is part of the Golf, Fitness, and Entertainment function at Sheraton Hotels & Resorts in Doha, Qatar, based on Al Corniche Street. The role focuses on maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming pool and recreation environment while supporting a positive guest experience.
Key Duties
- Keep the pool deck clean by washing, mopping, and maintaining the area to company standards.
- Help create an enjoyable and relaxing atmosphere for guests across recreational areas by staying upbeat and approachable.
- Monitor activity in the recreation space and respond properly in line with local operating procedures if an emergency arises.
- Enforce recreation facility rules and safety guidelines.
- Watch for situations where a guest may not be able to safely take part in an activity and inform the supervisor or manager.
- Assist injured guests until emergency medical services arrive.
- Collect, fold, and stack towels following company process.
Work Standards and Safety
- Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions to management.
- Complete required safety training and certifications.
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
- Keep uniform and personal appearance neat, clean, and professional.
- Protect confidential information and safeguard company property.
- Work in line with quality assurance standards and expectations.
Guest Service Expectations
- Welcome and acknowledge every guest according to company service standards.
- Anticipate guest needs and respond quickly and professionally.
- Support guests with disabilities when needed.
- Thank guests sincerely and maintain a courteous, professional tone.
- Build positive working relationships with colleagues and communicate clearly.
Physical and Technical Requirements
- Read and verify information in different formats, including small print.
- Inspect tools, equipment, and machines visually to identify defects.
- Use computers and point-of-sale systems to enter and locate work-related information.
- Lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without help.
- Handle objects of varying size and weight with good hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills.
- Move safely across slopes, uneven or slippery surfaces, and stairs or service ramps.
- Bend, twist, reach, stoop, and perform movements above the head and below the knees.
- Carry out other reasonable duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Preferred education is a high school diploma or GED equivalent. No prior related work experience or supervisory experience is required.

- CPR certification
- First aid certification
- Fitness equipment certification
- Any additional certification or training required by local and state authorities
