Role Overview

FlyTheNest, backed by DeetsDigital, is hiring a Placement Head for its Data Science training program in Ahmedabad / Hybrid mode. This role is focused on strengthening corporate outreach, improving student placement outcomes, and expanding employer partnerships for an institute that prepares learners for industry-facing technology roles through hands-on learning and project exposure.

FlyTheNest is an offline-first Data Science training institute launched in Jul 22. It has trained 200+ students and runs a 3-month internship with DeetsDigital as part of its practical learning model. DeetsDigital is an AI and Data Science consulting firm that has delivered enterprise solutions for organizations such as IIFL, Adani, Deloitte, Philip Morris International, Fluent, MVDigital, Gupshup, and ideaForge. The parent company has also signed an MoU with IIT Bombay and is working on a niche program in AI in Banking. Its founder and CEO, Naveen Gupta, is an IIT Bombay alumnus with more than a decade of experience leading data science, analytics, and AI initiatives at companies including VISA, Standard Chartered, Deloitte, and PwC.

What the Role Covers

The selected professional will lead placement and corporate relations for the training programs, using a strong network across the tech ecosystem to create hiring opportunities and maintain a healthy recruitment pipeline.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and sustain strong ties with IT companies, analytics firms, startups, and consulting organizations.
• Use existing industry contacts to open up new placement opportunities for students.
• Plan and execute campus drives, virtual hiring events, and company-led recruitment sessions.
• Monitor placement results, recruiter responses, and student performance records.
• Coordinate guest lectures, industry sessions, and hackathons with partner companies.
• Represent the institute at networking events, meetups, and other industry forums.
• Support students with resume building, interview preparation, and broader career planning.
• Collaborate with trainers to ensure the curriculum reflects current hiring expectations.

Required Profile

• A bachelor’s degree in business, HR, management, or a closely related discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience in IT recruitment, corporate relations, campus placements, or EdTech placement operations.
• A well-established network of HR leaders, recruiters, and hiring managers in the IT sector.
• A demonstrated history of securing placements and building successful corporate partnerships.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a fixed annual pay of ₹8 LPA to ₹12 LPA, along with ₹6 L in incentives and ESoPs.

Success Measures

• Total number of students successfully placed.
• Average compensation secured for placed students.
• Number of interviews arranged per candidate.
• Count of active hiring partners.

Additional Information

This is a contract role based in Ahmedabad with a hybrid work arrangement. The position is intended for an experienced placement professional with strong relationships in the IT industry and a proven ability to drive hiring outcomes.
