Mechanical Engineer

Role overview

Corsair is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to contribute to new product development in Landshut, Bavaria, Germany. The role calls for a solid mechanical design foundation, practical engineering judgment, and the ability to work effectively with manufacturing partners and cross-functional teams in an international setting.

Key responsibilities and expectations

• Support new product development activities with a strong mechanical engineering approach.
• Apply design knowledge across a wide range of manufacturing methods, including plastic injection moulding, metal casting, additive manufacturing, sheet metal fabrication, and turning/milling.
• Contribute to the design and development of mechanical components and assemblies.
• Use hands-on production and assembly experience to improve design practicality and manufacturability.
• Work with technical teams and external manufacturing partners, including those based primarily in Asia.

Technical and professional requirements

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a closely related discipline.
• 2 to 4 years of experience in new product development.
• Working proficiency with CAD and simulation tools, ideally SolidWorks and SolidWorks PDM.
• Experience in freeform modelling is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of GD&T.
• Exposure to mechatronic systems is beneficial.
• Background with composite materials is desirable.
• Practical experience in the production and assembly of parts is a plus.

• Fluent English communication, both written and spoken.
• German language fluency is an added advantage.
• Strong analytical thinking and a structured approach to solving problems.
• A hands-on working style with clear ownership and accountability.
• Ability to collaborate across multiple engineering disciplines.
• Excellent communication skills in international work environments.
