Maintenance Chargehand

Role Overview

The organisation is looking for a Maintenance Chargehand to help coordinate maintenance activity, working closely with Jubilee staff and external contractors to ensure tasks are completed promptly and in line with required standards and compliance. The role also involves communicating technical matters clearly to colleagues without a technical background.

Working Pattern

This is a Monday to Friday position, with working hours from 08:45 to 16:30.

Key Duties

The postholder will support the allocation of work connected to building fabric maintenance and statutory compliance. They will also assist managers in planning small-scale projects delivered by internal teams and outside contractors.

Experience and Background

A recognised apprenticeship in a relevant trade is required, such as City & Guilds or an equivalent qualification. The ideal candidate will also have proven experience in organising and coordinating work. Familiarity with internal NHS systems and policies would be beneficial.

Communication and Teamwork

Because this position sits within a small, close-working team, strong interpersonal skills and clear communication are essential.
