As a Lead Fullstack Developer, you will develop fast, accessible, and dependable web apps while working with teams from different disciplines to shape practical and technically robust solutions. The role covers both frontend and backend work, promotes high standards in code quality and security, and includes mentoring junior developers as well as contributing to the growth of engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimise web applications using React and Next.js.
• Create robust, high-performing, and accessible digital experiences.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design and deliver strategic technical solutions.
• Work across the full stack, including frontend, backend, and API integration tasks.
• Promote coding standards, security awareness, and engineering best practices.
• Guide and support junior developers through mentoring.
• Contribute to the ongoing improvement of engineering processes and standards.

Role requirements

• Solid grounding in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Next.js, headless CMS platforms, Node.js, Git, Vercel, Storybook, and Tailwind.
• Ability to produce clean, scalable, and easy-to-maintain code.
• Strong experience with React and TypeScript, including component-based architecture and state management.
• Hands-on knowledge of Tailwind or Sass for reusable and structured styling.
• Comfortable using Git in collaborative development workflows.
• Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum methods, including sprint planning and routine ceremonies.
• Ability to test across browsers and devices, including Mac and PC environments.
• Experience working with CMS tools and deploying through Vercel.
• Understanding of accessibility standards, SEO principles, and performance optimisation.
• Capability to translate Figma designs into precise frontend implementations.
• Backend familiarity with Node.js and API integrations.
• Experience with unit testing using Jest and React Testing Library.
• Experience building and maintaining UI libraries with Storybook.
