Role overview
This position is for Lead Associate - Account Management based in Bengaluru. The marketplace function supports growth across unmanaged portfolios through the relationship management program, and the role involves overseeing a team of 25 to 30 account managers while driving day-to-day business performance.
Key business and customer outcomes
- Deliver targets linked to revenue, GMV, and marketing spend.
- Spot performance risks early and take corrective action when targets are slipping.
- Lift customer engagement on the platform by improving selection and content.
- Support operational performance by resolving logistics issues on time.
Core responsibilities
- Expand portfolio growth above platform year-on-year levels by strengthening key performance indicators.
- Improve catalog and inventory health by using resources more efficiently.
- Strengthen profitability by adhering to pricing guidance and controlling marketing spend.
- Increase visibility through better selection and pricing strategies.
- Align vendor strengths with required metrics and build opportunities for growth.
- Prepare and share MIS and data reports on a daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis as needed.
- Track competitors and industry practices to identify useful benchmarks.
- Manage end-to-end account ownership for a large set of marketplace sellers.
Qualifications and experience
The role calls for at least 5 years of experience in the retail industry, along with a positive, proactive work attitude. An MBA from a Tier 2 or Tier 3 institution is preferred but not required. Education from NIFT is also considered an advantage, though it is not mandatory.
