Junior Cloud Engineer (Entry-Level / Associate)

What you will do

You will work alongside experienced engineers to help deploy, configure, and support cloud infrastructure. The job involves keeping environments stable, secure, and scalable, as well as assisting with incident resolution, performance tuning, and service availability.

Day-to-day work includes contributing to automation scripts, supporting CI/CD workflows, writing and updating technical documentation, and helping improve infrastructure processes. You will also partner with different teams on feature releases, test new capabilities in sandbox settings, and follow cloud reliability and operations best practices.

Qualifications

• Exposure to cloud computing and infrastructure concepts, including familiarity with public cloud platforms such as SAP BTP, AWS, Azure, or GCP, along with basic networking and security knowledge.
• Basic programming or scripting ability in at least one language such as Python, Java, or JavaScript, plus experience using Git or a similar version control tool.
• Practical understanding of Linux-based systems, including command-line use, system checks, and basic troubleshooting.
• Introductory database knowledge, including SQL fundamentals, basic schema design, and work with relational or cloud-native databases.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn through guidance and feedback.
• Clear written and spoken communication skills, with the ability to document technical steps and collaborate effectively in a distributed team.
• Currently studying for, or recently finished, a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a similar discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Interest in SAP solutions, cloud operations, and application lifecycle management; prior SAP exposure is helpful but not essential.
