About the Company

Pave is a compensation platform that helps organizations make pay decisions with confidence by combining a large real-time compensation dataset with AI and machine learning. The platform is used by more than 8,500 companies, including well-known names such as OpenAI, McDonald’s, Instacart, Atlassian, Synopsys, Stripe, Databricks, and Waymo. Pave manages over $190 billion in total compensation spend in its workflows, and 70% of the Forbes AI 50 rely on it for compensation benchmarking. The company has raised $160M from investors including Andreessen Horowitz, Index Ventures, Y Combinator, Bessemer Venture Partners, and Craft Ventures.

About the Team

The Data team plays a central role at Pave, partnering across the company and owning work that directly improves the product experience. The Insights pod converts Pave’s compensation data into research reports, market indices, campaigns, and data products that influence how the market understands pay. This role sits within that pod and focuses on analysis, storytelling, customer support, and building a stronger measurement foundation for future decisions.

What You’ll Do

  • Work closely with the Marketing team to move data stories from initial brief to finished publication, including analysis, narrative development, and rapid iteration across blogs, reports, social posts, and landing pages.
  • Contribute research, analysis, and ad hoc work to Pave’s data products, including Pave Data Lab and Market Data, helping keep the content current and distinct.
  • Represent Pave’s compensation expertise by responding to data and compensation questions from customers, prospects, and internal stakeholders.
  • Create a practical framework to track what content is performing well and where improvements should be made.
  • Develop strong expertise in Pave’s compensation dataset and turn complex results into clear, engaging insights for non-technical audiences.

What We’re Looking For

  • A marketing-oriented analyst who has contributed to using data or metrics for storytelling, growth, or marketing initiatives.
  • Strong communication and data storytelling ability, with analyses that lead to new initiatives, product improvements, or measurable metric movement.
  • A results-focused mindset that prioritizes work with clear business and product impact.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a Data Analyst, ideally in a customer-facing setting.
  • Advanced data manipulation ability with strong SQL and Python skills.

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to compensation data or labor market data, or a willingness to build that expertise.
  • Experience with tools such as dbt, Hex, or Claude Code.
  • Background in building data products intended for customers.

Compensation and Benefits

This role has targeted cash compensation bands of $115,000 to $144,000 for P2 and $139,000 to $174,000 for P3. The total rewards package also includes equity, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, unlimited PTO, and region-specific benefits. Additional perks mentioned by the company include flexible PTO, the ability to work from anywhere in the world for up to one month, lunch and dinner stipends, stocked kitchens, a quarterly education stipend, parental leave, and a commuter stipend.

Work Environment

Pave operates in a hybrid model, bringing teams together in person 3 to 4 days each week. The company also holds a weekly Friday Team Sync that includes breakfast, new hire welcomes, product updates, fireside chats, and other team activities. The role is based in New York, NY.

Company Values

Pave’s culture is guided by five principles: be intellectually honest, play to win, uphold the Pave Platinum Standard, act as one team, and embody the company’s uniquely named final value, “Hug of Jawn.” The company’s mission is to build confidence in every compensation decision, and its vision is to create a labor market built on trust.

Additional Information

Pave was founded in 2019 and has grown into a global compensation management company with teams in San Francisco, New York City, Salt Lake City, Kraków, and the United Kingdom. The company encourages interested candidates to apply even if they are still deciding.
