Talent Acquisition

This role is responsible for managing end-to-end hiring across corporate and plant functions, covering salaried, hourly, skilled trades, and leadership roles.

  • Create and implement sourcing plans using job boards, social channels, employee referrals, staffing firms, and local/community partnerships.
  • Draft clear, attractive, and legally compliant job postings for both office-based and plant-based audiences.
  • Review applications, conduct phone screenings, and coordinate structured interviews.
  • Lead interview debriefs and support hiring managers in making final selection decisions.
  • Prepare offer letters, coordinate pre-employment steps such as background checks, drug testing, and physical exams, and manage onboarding logistics.
  • Develop talent pools for high-volume hiring needs and roles that are difficult to fill.
  • Monitor and report recruiting performance metrics such as time to fill, cost per hire, and sourcing channel effectiveness.
  • Follow EEOC, OFCCP, and all relevant state and federal hiring requirements.
  • Work with plant leaders and operations managers to anticipate staffing demand and support workforce planning.

Leave Administration

  • Handle all leave programs, including FMLA, ADA, short-term disability, long-term disability, personal leave, and state-specific leave plans.
  • Act as the main contact for employees and managers who need guidance through leave-related processes.
  • Coordinate with external leave vendors and ensure documents are submitted accurately and on time.
  • Track leave status, return-to-work timing, and intermittent leave requests.

Employee Data Management

  • Keep employee records current and accurate in TriNet, the HRIS platform.
  • Process HR transactions throughout the employee life cycle, including onboarding, transfers, job changes, and exits.
  • Prepare HR dashboards and reports for leadership, including headcount, turnover, and compliance metrics.
  • Maintain strong data accuracy and ensure files and systems are ready for audit review.

Benefits Administration

  • Guide employees on benefits such as medical, dental, vision, life insurance, FSA/HSA, and 401(k).
  • Assist with open enrollment communications, system changes, and employee education sessions.
  • Partner with brokers and carriers to resolve claim issues and benefit-related escalations.
  • Manage COBRA notices and qualifying life event updates.

Employee Relations and Compliance

  • Provide practical guidance to managers and employees on policies, procedures, and HR best practices.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline is required.
  • At least 5 years of progressive HR generalist experience, including direct full-cycle recruiting work, is required.
  • Experience supporting both corporate and manufacturing/plant environments is strongly preferred.
  • Professional HR certifications such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP are preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
