About the role
This opportunity is for an HR Assistant and Recruiter who will support hiring operations from initial sourcing through onboarding. The role includes helping ensure policy and legal compliance, and it is positioned as a growth path toward more advanced HR responsibilities. The expected working hours are either 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM or 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with a planned move toward a weekend shift in support of 24/7 operations.
Responsibilities
- Manage the recruitment process from sourcing candidates through new-hire onboarding.
- Screen applications, conduct first-round interviews, and share candidate feedback.
- Handle onboarding paperwork and help deliver onboarding training for new employees.
- Create, revise, and maintain HR policies, databases, and employee records with accuracy and compliance in mind.
- Track open roles, arrange interviews, and work with hiring managers to fill vacancies quickly.
- Take part in off-site recruitment activities and source candidates through job boards and social media.
- Support hiring managers in shaping practical and effective recruitment approaches.
- Prepare HR reports, keep applicant tracking systems updated, and assist with internal documentation audits.
- Provide general administrative support and manage employment verification tasks.
- Ensure HR processes follow company standards as well as applicable employment laws and regulations.
Requirements
- A minimum of a high school diploma or an equivalent qualification is required; a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Previous exposure to recruitment, onboarding, and HR administration is strongly desired.
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities are essential.
- Comfort using applicant tracking systems, social media platforms, and Microsoft Office tools is needed.
- Working knowledge of employment laws and regulatory compliance is important.
- Strong organization, careful attention to detail, and the ability to juggle several tasks at once are necessary.
- Experience in a busy, high-volume environment or with a staffing agency will be considered an advantage.
