Role overview
UCD Professional Academy, part of University College Dublin, is hiring a Sales Executive / Education Consultant to support its expanding portfolio of short, career-oriented training and diploma programmes. The academy operates within a commercial arm of the university and offers a lively, fast-moving, and innovative work environment.
The organisation is looking for a seasoned sales professional who can see the opportunity in growing this offering within Ireland’s largest university. Its wider mission is to strengthen skills-based learning for the workforce while reflecting UCD’s values of quality, integrity, and accountability in day-to-day operations.
The main focus of the role is to build and nurture direct relationships from inbound enquiries in order to achieve enrolment objectives.
Key duties
- Advise prospective learners on the most suitable course options, then convert them into enrolled students and customers of UCD Professional Academy.
- Keep the sales pipeline organised and up to date through consistent CRM usage.
- Handle direct customer relationships with a strong standard of service and follow-up.
- Complete sales-related administrative work accurately and on time.
- Work towards and surpass sales goals as well as activity targets.
Skills and experience
- At least 3 years of experience in inside sales with a consultative approach.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work efficiently.
- Experience in a sales environment that relies heavily on CRM systems; HubSpot knowledge is helpful but not essential.
- Excellent skills in presenting, communicating, and building relationships.
- Proven ability to work to deadlines.
- Energetic problem-solving mindset suited to a demanding sales setting.
- Warm, dependable, and respectful approach when dealing with others.
- Strong spoken and written English.
- Background in education sales is advantageous, though candidates from other consultative sales sectors are welcome.
