Key Responsibilities

• Create and roll out organization-wide frameworks, policies, and standards for data governance.
• Define and maintain processes for data ownership, stewardship, quality control, and data lifecycle management.
• Make sure data handling practices align with privacy laws, internal security requirements, and relevant industry rules.
• Drive initiatives to improve data quality and track governance performance indicators.
• Work closely with both business and technical stakeholders to strengthen data management methods.
• Oversee metadata, master data, and data cataloging activities and programs.
• Carry out governance reviews and suggest practical improvements to existing processes.
• Encourage a company-wide culture that values data-driven decision-making and governance discipline.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline is required.
• Prior hands-on experience in data governance, data management, data quality, or information management is expected.
• Good knowledge of governance frameworks, policy development, and compliance obligations is important.
• Experience using tools for data governance, metadata management, and data quality is needed.
• Familiarity with databases, data warehousing, analytics, and business intelligence environments is necessary.
• Strong analytical thinking, communication ability, and stakeholder coordination skills are essential.
• Professional certifications in data management or governance will be considered an advantage.
