About the Role
The Customs Agent role supports the compliant movement of cross-border freight by reviewing paperwork, coordinating with customers, and addressing customs-related questions. The position calls for careful attention to detail, solid communication abilities, and the capacity to keep clearance tasks moving efficiently.
This opportunity is suited to someone who works well in a busy setting, communicates clearly, and is comfortable with rotational shift schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor the clearance progress of cross-border shipments to help ensure timely delivery.
- Respond to and resolve customs-related concerns in an efficient manner.
- Review shipment documents such as POD and BOL.
- Maintain follow-up with customers and share updates on both outbound and inbound shipments.
Skills and Qualifications
- Graduate degree or an equivalent qualification is required.
- Strong spoken and written communication, along with good interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and stay effective under pressure.
- High level of accuracy and strong observational skills.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Good time management and task prioritization in a fast-moving environment.
- Working knowledge of transportation and logistics workflows.
Employment Details
This is a full-time position based onsite. The role follows a rotational shift pattern, with a 5-day workweek and 10-hour shifts.
