About the role

FedEx is hiring couriers for its Barking site. This is a full-time, on-site position with a 45-hour workweek. The standard schedule runs Monday to Friday from 07:30 to 17:30, including a 60-minute break. The pay rate is £15.01 per hour.

What you'll do

• Act as a courteous face of FedEx when collecting and delivering customer packages.
• Operate company vehicles on assigned routes across different postcode areas so deliveries arrive correctly and on schedule.
• Drive safely and in line with all legal and operational requirements.
• Follow FedEx health, safety, and workplace procedures at all times.

What you need

• You should be dependable and comfortable working as part of a team.
• A positive, energetic, and enthusiastic approach is expected.
• Strong customer service focus and clear communication skills are important.
• You need to check paperwork carefully and maintain a good eye for detail.
• A valid driving licence for the assigned vehicle is essential, and holding it for at least 2 years would be an advantage.
• You must be able to adjust to changing road and weather conditions.
• Commercial driving background would be beneficial.
• Basic local geography knowledge is required.
