Role overview

The Content Policy Manager will help shape, prioritize, and deliver a range of policy-related initiatives. This includes policy creation and rollout, stakeholder education, awareness efforts, and coordination across important internal and external partnerships. The role involves handling a mix of technical and non-technical work that supports trust and operations across LinkedIn.

This position follows a flexible working model. Work will be performed partly from home and partly from a LinkedIn office on selected days, depending on business needs.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, explain, and manage global policies related to safety and expression across LinkedIn products and advertising.
• Review information from internal and external partners to define long-term policy positions, standards, and strategies for content and product areas.
• Independently coordinate several complex policy initiatives through every stage of design, rollout, and execution.
• Handle escalations and identify patterns in those escalations to improve guidance and communication.
• Create clear, data-backed narratives and progress updates for senior leaders to support decision-making and outcomes.
• Work closely with business and technical teams to evaluate solutions using factors such as cost, effort, return on investment, complexity, and timing.
• Keep stakeholders and managers informed about the status and overall health of regional and global workstreams.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in policy writing, product risk management, policy operations, or digital trust and safety.
• A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Strong organization, speaking, and writing skills.
• Background in the technology sector, especially with complex systemic and emerging risks.
• Experience in training and instructional design.
• Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to work credibly with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
• Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
• Capability to understand business and technical needs and communicate effectively with different stakeholder groups.
• Ability to influence priorities and negotiate product changes.
• Proven skill in managing multiple concurrent projects with strong attention to detail.
• Adaptability in response to changing business and technical conditions.
• Experience using metrics, analysis, and data to support decisions.
• Ability to build working knowledge of technical systems, including configuration, settings, logging, and permissions.
