Role Overview
This is a full-time remote position for a Community Manager who will nurture and expand Projexa Hub’s network of students, graduates, mentors, and partners. The role centers on day-to-day community engagement across online platforms, discussion spaces, and messaging channels, with an emphasis on prompt support, useful guidance, and a positive member experience.
What You Will Do
- Oversee daily conversations and interactions across the organization’s online community channels.
- Respond in a timely manner to questions, comments, and member concerns while maintaining a helpful and professional tone.
- Plan and deliver community activities such as events, webinars, challenges, and discussion programs that support the organization’s mission.
- Collect feedback from community members and use it to improve communication, content, and services.
- Monitor engagement data and report on community activity trends.
- Work with internal teams to strengthen member onboarding, content quality, and overall community experience.
- Create community-centered content that encourages participation and connection.
- Maintain clear community rules and help sustain a respectful, inclusive, and supportive environment.
Qualifications and Skills
The ideal candidate should bring experience in managing online communities, leading discussions, and encouraging participation in inclusive spaces. Strong written and spoken communication, active listening, and the ability to adjust messaging for different audiences are important. The role also calls for strong planning and coordination abilities, comfort with digital and social media tools, and the capability to track engagement metrics at a basic level. Success in this position requires good relationship-building skills, the ability to collaborate with mentors, partners, and internal teams, and a genuine interest in youth development, career growth, education, or talent development across Africa. Candidates should be self-directed, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively in a remote setting. Experience in community management, customer success, program coordination, or a similar role is preferred, with prior exposure to education or talent-development environments considered an advantage.
