Category Buyer (E-commerce / B2C)

Role overview

A well-established e-commerce business in Qatar is hiring a Category Buyer to own the commercial performance of a varied product portfolio. This is a junior-to-mid level opportunity for someone who enjoys working with data, negotiating with suppliers, and driving growth in a fast-moving retail environment.

The role is based in Doha, Qatar, and preference will be given to candidates already in-country. You will be responsible for the buying strategy across categories spanning family and kids, lifestyle and personal care, and home.

Product portfolio

• Family and Kids: mother and baby, toddlers, and kids
• Lifestyle and Personal Care: beauty, wellness, and women-focused products
• Home: appliances, kitchen, and home decor

What you will do

• Build and maintain supplier relationships with both local and overseas vendors.
• Negotiate strong commercial terms across different purchasing models.
• Take ownership of monthly and quarterly sales and gross profit targets for assigned categories.
• Track inventory health closely, including stock rotation, ageing items, and slow-moving products, and act through promotions or liquidation when needed.
• Work with digital marketing teams to launch exclusive brands, run flash sales, and support targeted campaigns.

What we are looking for

• At least 2 years of experience in buying or procurement, ideally within e-commerce or modern retail.
• Strong command of MS Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, and data analysis.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Arabic language ability is an advantage.

Compensation and terms

The package includes a competitive market-aligned base salary, attractive KPI-based incentives, and standard company benefits. Applicants currently on their own visa or a husband’s visa are welcome, and full visa sponsorship can also be provided by the employer.
