Project Overview

This opportunity sits within a major international airport programme where the operator is exploring a further expansion of the main terminal, a redesign of concourses, and the retirement of older passenger transport systems.

The proposed programme has been shared with airline stakeholders and is estimated at approximately $22 billion, with completion expected in the mid-2030s. It is part of a broader transformation intended to support strong long-term passenger growth.

For context, the existing master plan approved in 2025 set out around $7 billion in phased capital investment, aligned with forecasts of up to 90 million passengers annually by the end of the century.

Role Summary

The Business Analyst will provide analytical, data-led, and strategic advisory support across complex infrastructure or multidisciplinary programmes. The role exists to improve decision-making by turning programme data, performance measures, and stakeholder needs into practical insights and recommendations.

Working alongside cross-functional teams, this person will help with performance tracking, business case support, and continuous improvement efforts to strengthen delivery outcomes and keep work aligned to strategic goals.

Responsibilities

• Gather, examine, and interpret programme information across cost, schedule, risk, and performance areas.
• Create dashboards, reporting packs, and visual outputs that aid decision-making.
• Carry out business analysis activities such as gap assessment, trend review, and root cause analysis.
• Support the creation and ongoing monitoring of key performance indicators.
• Contribute to governance reporting, including summaries for senior leadership and board-level audiences.
• Assist with programme and project reviews to evaluate performance and highlight improvement opportunities.
• Review financial and operational data to support forecasting and planning.
• Identify risks, opportunities, and the main factors influencing performance.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at improving delivery outcomes.
• Work closely with programme leaders, project managers, and functional teams to ensure analysis reflects delivery needs.

Requirements

• Proven background in business analysis, programme advisory, or data analytics within infrastructure or large-scale programmes.
• Strong analytical thinking with the ability to work through complex datasets.
• Confident communicator who can explain complex information clearly to senior stakeholders.
• Experience in analysing and interpreting data, monitoring performance, reporting KPIs, and supporting business case development and evaluation.
• Capability in trend analysis, forecasting, root cause analysis, problem-solving, and turning data into decision-ready insights.
• Experience using data visualisation and reporting tools such as Power BI or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with programme controls systems covering cost, schedule, risk, and performance.
• Ability to work with structured datasets, reporting frameworks, and information drawn from multiple sources.
• Experience operating in complex environments with multiple stakeholders.
• Collaborative, detail-focused working style.
• A background in business, finance, engineering, or a related field is preferred.

Compensation

The estimated starting salary for this position is $170,000. The actual offer may differ depending on lawful, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, skills, and qualifications.
