What you can expect
This opportunity places you with a major construction and civil engineering business working on some of Ireland’s largest and most dynamic projects. You will have the chance to build your expertise to high industry standards while being part of a supportive team environment.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the project information model so it can be shared appropriately with the project team and authorized with the client team, while following project or contract exchange and security requirements.
- Make sure project and contract methods and procedures are aligned with BAM’s ISO 19650 information standards.
- Confirm that model coordination and mobilisation plans are established and regularly reviewed.
- Ensure all parties use the common data environment in line with BAM information standards, client expectations, and ISO 19650 where applicable.
- Check that the building information model contains accurate graphical and non-graphical data at the required level of information need, and provide reports as needed.
- Support development of the project information model, review the quality of task team outputs, and report any non-conformances.
- Apply digital processes across project and contract stages throughout the asset lifecycle where required.
- Create compliant workflows that meet client requirements, BAM standards, and ISO 19650 requirements, with clear planning and communication.
- Help develop the Master Information Delivery Plan (MIDP) and Task Information Delivery Plan (TIDP).
- Work with IT and the wider Digital Project Solutions team to ensure digital systems and working practices are fit for purpose and efficient for the project stage or asset lifecycle stage.
- Identify technical issues faced by users in relation to applications or tools and resolve them quickly to protect productivity and performance.
Candidate profile
You should be a collaborative team player with strong time management and communication skills. A genuine interest in digital construction or digital facilities management is important, along with a basic understanding of ISO 19650. You should also be able to demonstrate BAM’s values.
Education and experience
Higher education in construction or a related discipline is preferred, although equivalent experience will also be considered. The role calls for 1 to 2 years of experience in digital construction or digital facilities management, with familiarity in industry and tendering processes.
