Schedule and Start Information
This is a 40-hour-per-week role. Shifts may change depending on operational needs and will include evenings and weekends. The starting date is planned for 05/26/2026, though the position is tied to the new Dining Commons and is not expected to begin before mid-May at the earliest.
Compensation
The advertised pay is $17.523077 per hour.
What You Will Do
You will prepare breads, pastries, and other baked items to support daily dining service. The role involves planning production from headcount or production orders, coordinating helpers, maintaining records, managing ingredients, and operating baking equipment. You may also guide other food service staff on baking and cleanup tasks when needed.
Additional Expectations
The work is performed under the supervision of a food service supervisor and is evaluated based on product quality, cost efficiency, and output volume. The role may require long periods of standing, work in hot environments, and handling physically demanding tasks.
