Role overview

Larsen & Toubro is looking for an Architect to contribute to large-scale construction work in Chennai, with a strong focus on elevated metro projects. The role centers on architectural design, finishing details, and coordination across site activities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare drawings and design solutions for finishing scopes such as flooring, wall cladding, murals, stainless steel railings, internal elevations, signage, external façade elements, and ground-level development.
• Work on architectural planning for elevated metro station projects and support the wider construction process.
• Coordinate architectural requirements with structural, finishing, and MEP activities at site.
• Handle site-specific challenges and adapt designs and execution plans as project conditions evolve.
• Lead the team effectively and drive progress toward the milestones set by management.

Required profile

• A full-time B.Arch degree is required.
• Hands-on experience in the design function for large construction projects, especially elevated metro work, is expected.
• Strong understanding of architectural aspects relevant to metro projects is necessary.
• Good knowledge of elevated metro station construction activities, including structural, architectural, finishing, and MEP works, is needed.
• Proficiency in software such as AutoCAD and Revit is important.
• Awareness of the risks and practical challenges associated with metro projects is required.
