Yard Coordinator

Cooper Equipment Rentals is hiring a customer-focused, motivated Yard Coordinator to join its professional team in Saint John, New Brunswick.

Applicants must currently live in Canada and be legally authorized to work.

Key Duties

• Clean, dry, and detail equipment using pressure washers, vacuums, and approved cleaning products.
• Keep the yard and wash bay tidy, organized, and operational.
• Help drivers load and unload equipment safely.
• Use forklifts and other construction equipment as required.
• Inspect returned equipment for damage, record issues, and complete service tags.
• Follow company health and safety procedures at all times.
• Support fueling, tire storage, and movement of equipment when needed.
• Coordinate with coworkers and supervisors to keep work flowing smoothly.

What You Need

• A valid Class G/5 driver’s licence and a clean or acceptable driving record with no more than 3 demerit points.
• Ability to provide an updated driver’s abstract on request.
• Physical endurance, including the ability to stand for long periods and lift about 50 lbs.
• Forklift certification or prior experience with forklifts and/or other construction equipment is an advantage.
• Comfort working outdoors in all seasons.
• Willingness to work overtime when needed.
• Mechanical aptitude or previous equipment operation experience is considered an asset.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities.
• Flexibility and comfort in a fast-paced setting.
• Self-motivation, a service-minded approach, and the ability to work well in a team.
• Interest in learning more about construction equipment and the rental industry.
• Comfort using computers and technology for inspections, inventory tracking, and related tasks.
