Workday Payroll or Time Tracking Consultant

About the Role

Kainos is looking for a Workday Payroll or Time Tracking Consultant to join a collaborative team delivering enterprise-level Workday implementations for clients around the world. In this role, you will usually own a project workstream, helping shape solutions that meet customer needs while also remaining commercially sound.

You will work closely with customers to understand their business context, provide practical advice, and help deliver outcomes that are fit for purpose. The role also includes guiding less experienced colleagues and sharing your expertise across the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and configure Workday solutions at enterprise scale for global customers.
• Take ownership of a functional workstream during a prime implementation across the full project lifecycle.
• Build strong customer relationships and offer clear, credible advice aligned to client needs.
• Support and mentor junior consultants, including acting as a role model within the capability.
• Contribute to sales activity by helping prepare estimates for delivery work packages.
• Work across consulting and Application Management Services delivery streams as required.
• Deliver Application Management Services work in line with agreed service level agreements.
• Present confidently to senior client stakeholders and communicate effectively in a remote setting.
• Make balanced decisions under pressure while considering customer expectations and commercial priorities.
• Travel to customer sites within the same region when needed, with limited travel outside the region if required.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Workday Payroll certification, along with a strong working knowledge of Australian Payroll or Time Tracking certification.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage customers and colleagues with impact, credibility, and empathy.
• Good commercial awareness and a solid grasp of business and project dynamics.
• Proven ability to work to tight deadlines and remain effective under pressure.
• Capability to lead a functional workstream on a prime implementation through the full delivery cycle.
• Willingness to support the sales process and estimate delivery efforts.
• Understanding of utilisation in a services environment and why target achievement matters.
• Ability to move between different Workday service offerings as needed.
