Position overview

The role is focused on preparing the dining area ahead of service and keeping it tidy, well-organized, and presentable throughout the shift, while also supporting guest service tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Support morning cleaning activities in the restaurant.
• Ensure service equipment and utensils are cleaned before each meal service.
• Assist the captain waiter with setting up the restaurant.
• Maintain a neat personal appearance and a strong standard of hygiene.
• Help prepare the mise en place as directed by the captain waiter.
• Move food from the kitchen to the dining area.
• Support the captain waiter in placing dishes on customers’ tables.
• Replace ashtrays and refill water glasses during service.
• Clear tables after guests finish and clean them properly.
• Carry used plates and glasses to the dishwashing area.
• Follow the captain waiter’s instructions and work under their supervision.
