Role Summary

In this role, you will support supply chain and logistics activities within a cell and gene therapy manufacturing setting. You will contribute directly to a high-performing supply chain team by handling procurement, planning, and logistics tasks in line with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP). This Hamilton-based position supports domestic and international material movement that is essential to manufacturing operations. The core focus is to coordinate material flow, purchasing tasks, supplier coordination, and data accuracy so materials are available on time and supply chain processes run smoothly for clinical and commercial CGT manufacturing programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out supply chain work in alignment with company SOPs, GMP standards, and GDP requirements.
  • Arrange incoming and outgoing shipments of critical materials, samples, and finished products within required timelines and temperature limits.
  • Coordinate domestic and international shipments with customs brokers and logistics providers.
  • Keep records required for cross-border shipping, trade compliance, and customs clearance.
  • Track shipments, monitor temperatures, and confirm deliveries.
  • Monitor carrier performance metrics and share any issues or patterns that emerge.
  • Assist in building and maintaining basic forecasting tools for materials, consumables, and reagents.
  • Watch safety stock and reorder thresholds, and raise concerns when exceptions or risks appear.
  • Support approved strategic sourcing initiatives for goods and services.
  • Help onboard vendors, maintain approved supplier lists, and set up vendors in SAP and procurement systems.
  • Draft, release, and update purchasing documents such as requisitions and purchase orders.
  • Support the creation of purchase requisitions and ensure they move to Procurement in a timely manner.
  • Help maintain BOMs and recipes in ERP systems by coordinating updates and approvals.
  • Take on additional tasks as needed to support supply chain operations.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A bachelor’s degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Science, Engineering, or another relevant field, or an equivalent mix of education and practical experience.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, procurement, warehouse, or manufacturing operations.
  • Background in a regulated environment such as pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, or another GMP/GDP-controlled setting is preferred.
  • Exposure to domestic or international shipping, including work with couriers, freight forwarders, or customs brokers, is an advantage.
  • Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
