Role overview
The company is hiring a Supply Chain Logistics Manager to work from North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. This role focuses on building and managing tailored contract logistics solutions for customers, with an emphasis on cross-border European operations and non-standard auto parts logistics.
Key responsibilities
- Assess customer-specific logistics and supply chain needs, then create complete contract logistics solutions from design through delivery.
- Prepare quotation packages, service level commitments, and rollout or implementation plans.
- Handle strategic sourcing for contract logistics partners across Europe, including transportation, warehousing, customs clearance, and packaging.
- Evaluate and qualify suppliers through reviews, site visits, due diligence, and commercial negotiations.
- Select reliable partners that can support specialized and non-standard auto parts logistics services.
- Lead the design and execution of integrated logistics operations spanning warehousing and transportation.
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to keep the supply chain efficient, compliant, and cost-effective.
- Support ongoing improvement of capabilities for specialized logistics services.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Supply Chain, Logistics Management, or a closely related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in European contract logistics.
- Minimum 3 years of direct experience in non-standard auto parts logistics is preferred.
- Strong understanding of German and EU logistics and customs regulations.
- Practical expertise in end-to-end solution design, cost calculation, and supplier management.
- Working knowledge of warehouse management systems and transport management systems.
- Fluent English is required; German language ability is an advantage.
- Good cross-cultural communication and commercial negotiation skills.
- Ability to stay effective under pressure and willingness to travel within North Rhine-Westphalia and nearby European countries.
