Service Driver

Overview

We are hiring a Service Driver for the Okehampton branch to cover Launceston, Wadebridge, and nearby locations. This is a full-time, permanent field-based role suited to someone who enjoys driving, planning their own day, and delivering strong customer service. No previous experience is needed because full training is provided.

Compensation and working pattern

• Starting salary: £26,655 per year.
• Expected on-target earnings: around £27,500 per year, with bonus and commission opportunities.
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.
• There may be a future move to a 48-hour week, with pay adjusted accordingly.
• The role is permanent and full time.

Role summary

In this position, you will travel between customer sites to maintain washroom hygiene services. The products you will handle can include feminine hygiene units, nappy bins, air fresheners, soap dispensers, and floor mats.

What you will do

• Load and unload customer equipment and floor mats, so the role requires good physical fitness.
• Keep the vehicle in safe working condition and drive responsibly at all times.
• Follow company driving standards and safe-driving guidance.
• Deliver professional, helpful service and represent the company well at every customer site.

Requirements

• A full UK driving licence held for more than one year.
• No more than six penalty points on the licence.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Willingness to adapt working patterns to business needs.
• The ability to work on your own initiative with a positive, can-do attitude.
• Take pride in the quality of your work.
• A DBS check may be required depending on the position.
