Senior Interior Architect

Role overview

We are hiring an accomplished Senior Interior Architect for an award-winning studio based in Dublin. This is a senior-level opportunity for a designer with substantial experience who can confidently oversee several luxury residential schemes at the same time, guiding them from early concept development through to final delivery.

You will collaborate closely with the Creative Director, clients, architects, contractors and specialist suppliers to ensure every project achieves exceptional design quality and technical precision. The studio’s work includes some of Ireland’s most exclusive private homes, as well as commissions across the UK and Portugal, giving you the chance to contribute to outstanding residences in both local and international settings.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of multiple high-end residential projects at once, ensuring each one is progressed effectively.
• Create distinctive interior architecture and design solutions that respond to each client’s way of living.
• Develop space plans, technical drawings and full construction documentation to a high standard.
• Design custom kitchens, bathrooms, joinery, lighting schemes and interior architectural elements.
• Compile detailed specifications for furniture, finishes and materials.
• Confidently communicate and present design proposals to clients.
• Carry out regular site inspections and project meetings across Ireland, with occasional trips to the UK and Portugal.
• Work in close coordination with architects, contractors, consultants, suppliers and specialist trades.
• Manage project timelines and help drive work smoothly from design stage through completion.
• Address on-site design and construction challenges while protecting the original design intent.
• Guide, support and mentor junior colleagues within the design team.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in interior architecture, with a focus on luxury residential projects.
• A degree in Interior Architecture or Interior Design.
• Demonstrated experience handling several premium residential projects concurrently.
• Strong technical detailing ability and advanced AutoCAD proficiency.
• Excellent verbal and visual communication, presentation and organisational capabilities.
• A proactive, practical approach to problem-solving, paired with outstanding attention to detail.
• A full, clean driving licence and readiness to travel for site-based work.
• Availability to work full time from the Dublin studio.
