Role Overview

This position is for an SAP Basis Consultant based in Bengaluru. Candidates must be able to attend a face-to-face interview on 11 July 2026 in Whitefield, and applications are expected only from those who are available for that schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, tune, and support SAP landscapes across systems such as ECC, S/4HANA, BW, CRM, PI/PO, and Solution Manager.
• Carry out kernel updates, Support Package Stack upgrades, and Enhancement Package upgrades.
• Administer SAP HANA and other database platforms used with SAP.
• Manage client administration activities including client copy, export/import, and deletion.
• Track system stability, analyze performance, and review workload patterns.
• Handle transport management through STMS.
• Set up and resolve issues related to RFC connections, printers, spool processes, and background jobs.
• Perform SAP system refreshes as well as homogeneous and heterogeneous system copies.
• Implement and support High Availability and Disaster Recovery setups.
• Apply SAP patches and security-related updates.
• Investigate and fix performance issues using tools such as ST03N, ST04, DBACOCKPIT, SM50, SM66, SM21, ST22, SM37, and SM12.
• Manage backup and recovery operations.
• Work on SSL certificates, SAP Web Dispatcher, SAP Router, and Single Sign-On configurations.
• Support SAP Fiori, Gateway, and SAP Solution Manager environments.
• Coordinate with operating system teams and database administrators for Linux/Windows and database-related tasks.
• Contribute to production support, incident resolution, and root cause analysis.
• Prepare technical documentation and standard operating procedures.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with SAP ECC and S/4HANA administration.
• Working knowledge of SAP NetWeaver.
• Strong understanding of SAP HANA database administration.
• Ability to work with Linux/Unix systems.
• Experience with SAP kernel upgrades.
• Familiarity with SUM and SWPM, including Software Update Manager workflows.
• Exposure to SAP Host Agent management.
• Practical knowledge of transport management using STMS.
• Experience in client copy and system refresh activities.
• Understanding of SAP Router and Web Dispatcher administration.
• Knowledge of SSL certificate handling.
• Support experience with SAP Fiori and Gateway.
• Exposure to SAP Solution Manager.
• Ability to troubleshoot and improve system performance.
• Working knowledge of backup and recovery processes.
• Understanding of High Availability and Disaster Recovery concepts.
• Awareness of SAP EarlyWatch reports and basic SAP security practices.
• Cloud platform exposure on AWS, Azure, or GCP is preferred.
