Role overview
This role is for an experienced Sales Development Representative to support the growth of a Pune-based AI-driven SaaS company focused on helping multi-location and franchise businesses improve customer experience management. The platform unifies social, reviews, messaging, web chat, email, and support across more than 50 communication and listing channels, while using AI to surface intent, catch complaints early, route leads, and provide branch-level visibility for leadership.
The position is based in Pune and requires on-site work only. The business works with brands across healthcare, retail, consumer, luxury, automotive, and other multi-branch segments, with a strong focus on India’s mid-market and enterprise customers.
Key responsibilities
- Research and build prospect lists using professional networks, sales databases, CRM tools, industry directories, and inbound leads, keeping the focus on multi-location and franchise accounts that match the ideal customer profile.
- Run outbound outreach through phone, email, LinkedIn, and WhatsApp, using account-based and personalized messaging to open meaningful conversations.
- Assess lead quality with structured qualification methods such as BANT, CHAMP, MEDDIC, or similar frameworks.
- Conduct discovery discussions with business and customer experience stakeholders to understand issues such as disconnected channels, delayed complaint detection, and limited visibility at branch level.
- Maintain accurate CRM records for prospects, activities, and opportunities, and ensure follow-ups and pipeline hygiene stay current.
- Support account executives by moving qualified prospects through the sales process and helping drive closures.
- Work with marketing, product, customer success, and leadership to improve messaging, targeting, and conversion performance.
Requirements
- 2 to 4 years of experience in an SDR or business development role within B2B SaaS.
- Prior experience selling in the Indian market, especially to mid-market and enterprise customers.
- Strong capability in cold calling, emailing, prospecting, follow-up, and qualification.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Understanding of consultative selling and the B2B sales process.
- Working familiarity with qualification frameworks such as BANT, CHAMP, MEDDIC, or similar.
- Comfort using lead generation tools such as Lusha or Apollo, along with CRM platforms like Salesforce or Zoho.
- MBA or bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience selling SaaS to multi-location, franchise, retail, healthcare, insurance, or consumer brands is preferred.
- Interest in customer experience, AI, and the problems addressed by the platform.
- Self-motivated, disciplined, target-driven, organized, and attentive to detail.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a startup environment.

This is a full-time, office-based role in Pune. The company is an AI-native SaaS business serving multi-location and franchise brands with deployments already active across more than 30 brands in retail, healthcare, and consumer sectors. The target market for this position is Indian mid-market and enterprise accounts, with emphasis on multi-location and franchise businesses. There is no internship component.
