Role overview

Haymes Paint is hiring a full-time Stores Sales Assistant for its Browns Plains location in Hillcrest, Queensland. This is a busy, fast-paced retail environment where you’ll support both trade and retail customers with helpful service, product guidance, and colour-related expertise. What you will do

• Assist trade and retail customers by offering product guidance, practical solutions, and attentive service.
• Respond to paint-related enquiries, including tinting products and matching colours to customer needs.
• Support stock control activities such as receiving goods, counting stock, and replenishing shelves.
• Process customer orders in person and over the phone.
• Develop positive relationships with regular customers and work closely with team members.
• Help with merchandising, visual presentation, and general store upkeep.
• Follow safe work practices at all times.

What the employer is looking for

• Prior experience in a customer service position.

• A valid driver’s licence, as local deliveries may be required.
• Experience with stock handling and merchandising.
• Comfort with manual tasks and hands-on work.
