About the Role
Verizon is looking for a full-time Retail Sales Associate to join its Destin, FL store team. This role is focused on delivering strong customer experiences, driving store sales, and helping customers find technology solutions that fit their needs. It is an onsite, worksite-based position with a 40-hour weekly schedule.
What You’ll Do
- Drive retail revenue by pairing a passion for modern technology with excellent customer service.
- Identify customer needs through thoughtful questions and relationship-building.
- Recommend products and solutions that create a complete end-to-end sales experience.
- Use strong communication skills to close sales and match customers with simple, effective tech options.
- Continue building your capabilities through training and by learning store operations such as merchandising and inventory.
- Reach out to existing Verizon customers by phone or text when there is interest in products or services.
- Take part in community engagement and off-site Verizon-sponsored events to help grow the customer base.
Compensation
The base pay range is $16.00 to $21.00 per hour. In addition, the role offers commission potential of up to $18,000 per year when sales goals are met. High performers may earn an extra $14,500 or more in individual commissions, bringing total annual earnings to roughly $65,000+ to $75,500+. Pay can vary based on location, hours worked, and performance. This is a commission-based position with the potential to earn more.

What We’re Looking For
- A high school diploma or GED
- At least 1 year of relevant experience gained through work and/or military service
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, with schedules shared four weeks in advance
- Willingness to accept extra shifts during busy periods, especially in summer, from November through December, and around peak vacation times
- Experience in commission-based sales is an advantage
- Strong background in customer-facing sales and helping customers find solutions is preferred
- Prior customer service experience is a plus
