Compensation

The starting pay for this role is $18.50 per hour, with the final rate influenced by factors such as location and experience.

Role Summary

The Restaurant Manager supports the Restaurant Leader with daily restaurant operations and shift leadership while maintaining Raising Cane’s service, safety, and culture standards. This role works in a busy kitchen setting and also involves customer interaction, equipment use, food handling, cleaning products, and physical tasks such as standing, walking, lifting, and bending for extended periods.

Key Responsibilities

• Keep all restaurant areas operating in line with Raising Cane’s standards during assigned shifts
• Serve as the manager on duty, including opening and closing responsibilities
• Handle cash control and maintain proper accountability
• Apply company policies, procedures, and performance standards consistently
• Lead shift execution in a way that supports operations and safety expectations
• Use tools, forms, and logs to track shift activity, record outcomes, and address issues
• Direct crew members throughout the shift
• Deliver strong customer service at all times
• Use recognition programs to support and motivate crew members
• Approve employee actions that require manager authorization, such as discounts, promotions, and timeclock adjustments
• Maintain restaurant cleanliness and ensure the facility remains in good condition
• Take on additional tasks as assigned

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in restaurant or retail management
• Must be 18 years old or older
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to stay organized while managing shifting priorities
• Energetic, adaptable, self-motivated, and able to communicate clearly in writing and verbally
• Comfortable working independently as well as in a team setting
• Able to identify issues, set goals, and turn plans into action to solve problems
• Experience or ability in staffing, scheduling, people management, and cost control
• Comfort using technology systems, including Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, and Outlook, with the ability to learn new tools quickly
• Available for varied shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends, and willing to travel for work-related training or events
• Completion of all required company training programs

Work Environment and Additional Information

This position is based in Las Cruces, New Mexico and is an onsite role. The work setting may include both indoor and outdoor conditions with changing temperatures, interaction with food products and common allergens, and exposure to industrial equipment and commercial cleaning products that require personal protective equipment.
