Role Overview

As a Research Technician, you will be responsible for the infrastructure used to collect neural data, which is essential to the research process. You will serve as the main contact for study participants and will conduct EEG sessions with accuracy, care, and consistency. A major part of the role involves maintaining the quality of collected data so it can support advanced deep learning work. This position sits at the point where participant interaction meets large-scale data collection and directly supports breakthroughs in neural decoding.

What Makes You a Strong Fit

This position suits someone with practical EEG experience, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work well with participants and technical teams alike.

• At least 1 to 2 years of direct experience using EEG equipment in research or clinical environments.
• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Neuroscience, Psychology, Cognitive Science, or a closely related discipline.
• A careful approach to data quality and comfort working toward daily and weekly collection targets.
• Good people skills and the ability to keep participants relaxed, attentive, and engaged during sessions.
• Experience recording, monitoring, and communicating technical issues such as hardware problems and environmental noise that can impact data quality.
• Confidence in resolving workflow delays independently and making fixes quickly under pressure.
• Comfort working with engineers, neuroscientists, and AI researchers across different functions.

Additional Preferred Experience

• Background in a fast-moving startup or a research lab that required flexibility and multitasking.
• Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice standards for participant-facing research.
• Experience with neuropsychological assessments or cognitive testing in research or clinical settings.
• Hands-on involvement in participant recruitment and scheduling systems.
• Understanding of EEG signal optimization, including electrode setup, impedance control, and artifact reduction.
