Research Analyst - Systematic Alpha Research

About the Role

FVN Research is creating a focused public-markets research group that works with a selective, high-standard approach. The team is centered on independent market analysis, structured investment thinking, and quantitative research methods.

This role is part of the effort to establish a strong research base for disciplined idea generation, alpha discovery, backtesting, and the production of polished research outputs across public markets.

What You’ll Work On

The Research Analyst position spans several areas of research, including fundamental investment analysis, macro and sector review, quantitative signal development, backtesting, investment memos, deal-related insights, and research deliverables that are ready for publication.

The work is expected to be thoughtful, disciplined, and results-oriented, with a strong emphasis on clarity of thinking and quality of output.

Profile We’re Looking For

The team is open to motivated students and early-career candidates, especially those with backgrounds in finance, economics, mathematics, statistics, computer science, engineering, or closely related disciplines.

Prior exposure to Python, Excel, valuation, statistics, backtesting, investment writing, or data analysis would be an advantage. That said, the most important qualities are dependability, intellectual honesty, initiative, and a genuine curiosity about public markets.
