About the Role

The Program Advisor will guide prospective students and working professionals in choosing the right courses, certifications, and career paths. This position combines consultative counseling with end-to-end sales ownership, from first contact through enrollment.

Core Responsibilities

  • Advise prospective learners on suitable programs based on their academic background, career objectives, and training needs.
  • Engage leads through phone calls, email, WhatsApp, and online meetings, handling both incoming and outgoing inquiries.
  • Manage the full sales journey, including lead generation, counseling, follow-ups, negotiation, and closing enrollments.
  • Work toward monthly targets for sales, revenue, and conversion performance.
  • Maintain consistent follow-up and build long-term rapport with prospects.
  • Clearly explain program features, advantages, fees, payment or financing options, and admission steps.
  • Deliver personalized counseling tailored to each candidate’s learning goals.
  • Update and maintain lead records, communication history, and sales actions in the CRM.
  • Coordinate with Admissions, Operations, and Student Success teams to ensure a smooth enrollment experience.
  • Address candidate questions professionally and ensure a strong customer experience.
  • Stay informed about market trends, competitor offerings, and the organization’s portfolio.
  • Take part in sales drives, marketing initiatives, webinars, and career guidance sessions.
  • Follow company sales processes, policy requirements, and documentation standards.

Candidate Profile

This role is suitable for graduates who bring strong counseling and sales capabilities, preferably with prior exposure to education-focused or consultative selling environments. Experience in multiple high-volume sales sectors will also be considered positively.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in any discipline; an MBA is an advantage but not mandatory.
  • At least 16 years of experience in inside sales, education counseling, program advisory, business development, academic counseling, or hard-core sales.
  • Strong preference for candidates with EdTech, education consulting, training and certification, or learning and development sales exposure.
  • Experience in other sales-driven industries such as BFSI, telecom, real estate, SaaS, insurance, banking, healthcare, or education is welcome.
  • Excellent English and Hindi communication skills, both spoken and written.
  • Strong consultative selling ability with effective objection handling.
  • A demonstrated history of meeting or surpassing targets.
  • Good negotiation, persuasion, and relationship-building skills.
  • Comfortable with high-volume calling and persistent follow-up activity.
  • Hands-on experience with CRM platforms and sales reporting tools.
  • Self-driven, target-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
  • Positive, customer-focused, and strong in interpersonal communication.
  • Capable of working independently as well as in a team.
