Role overview
BASSIKE is looking for an experienced Production Manager to join its Production team on a full-time basis. In this position, you will work closely with Design, Product Development, Raw Materials, and manufacturing partners in Australia and overseas to oversee the full production cycle. The main goal is to make sure products are delivered on schedule, within budget, and in line with the brand’s quality expectations.

Core responsibilities
- Oversee the complete production workflow, starting from purchase order placement through to final delivery.
- Develop and sustain effective working relationships with manufacturing partners both locally and internationally.
- Track production timelines and critical milestones, and keep the process moving to plan.
- Monitor schedules closely and act quickly to remove or reduce delays before they affect delivery.
- Work alongside Product Development and Raw Materials teams to ensure every production input is in place.
- Assess manufacturing capacity and coordinate production planning with external partners.
- Discuss and agree lead times, while also supporting initiatives that improve cost and operational efficiency.
- Oversee supplier performance in relation to quality, delivery reliability, and production output.
- Manage approvals, prepare shipment-ready documentation, and confirm production is ready for dispatch.
- Partner with the Logistics team to support on-time warehouse receipt of finished goods.
- Contribute to process improvement efforts across production operations.
- Take part in supplier reviews and help shape the wider manufacturing strategy.

Experience and skills required
- Previous experience as a Production Manager in fashion or apparel.
- Hands-on experience managing both offshore and onshore garment manufacturers.
- Strong understanding of apparel manufacturing, production lead times, and critical path planning.
- Solid knowledge of factory operations, quality expectations, and production scheduling.
- Excellent organisation skills and a sharp eye for detail.
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
- Capability to manage several priorities at once and deliver within deadlines.
- A team-oriented, practical, and solution-driven mindset.
- Experience with AP21 or a similar ERP/production management platform is an advantage.
