Overview

A specialist engineering business serving the scientific and medical industries is hiring an experienced MIG and TIG welder for its West Sussex operation in Pulborough, England. The team is small and collaborative, with only five people, and the focus is on high-quality, visually clean work rather than repetitive mass production.

What you will do

You will work on a broad mix of metals and create strong, reliable welds for applications where pressure resistance matters. The work varies from substantial sections to delicate thin-gauge parts, so the role calls for precision and adaptability.

• Carry out accurate welding across materials and thicknesses, from 40 mm down to 0.5 mm.
• Produce tidy, consistent, and structurally sound welds suitable for demanding applications.
• Support ongoing development by learning from experienced colleagues, with the possibility of future coding certifications.

Working pattern

The role is based on a Monday to Friday schedule, totaling 40 hours per week. Additional overtime may be available during busy periods, providing an opportunity to increase earnings.

About you

The ideal welder is disciplined, takes pride in the final appearance of work, and is comfortable working to exacting standards. You should be confident with both MIG and TIG processes, able to handle different materials and thicknesses, and open to coaching in a team-oriented setting.
