Operations Technician (12 Hours Shift)

Job Summary

In this role, you will support the safe and efficient running of oil terminal operations by keeping a close watch on equipment, carrying out inspections, collecting samples, and following established safety and operating procedures under the direction of a supervisor.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out terminal and jetty work according to documented procedures to meet safety and compliance requirements.
• Run firefighting, wastewater, hot oil heating, and utility systems to keep the site operating effectively.
• Keep the work area tidy and well organized to help maintain a safe operating environment.
• Help diagnose operational problems so interruptions are reduced and systems remain reliable.
• Prepare equipment and pipelines for use by completing system line-ups.
• Record and check instrument values from meters, gauges, and similar equipment to monitor performance.
• Measure product quantities by performing tank gauging accurately.
• Collect samples and complete quality checks to verify that product and process standards are met.
• Escalate abnormal conditions, equipment faults, and unusual readings to the Shift Supervisor without delay.
• Observe both stationary and operating machinery to spot issues before they lead to breakdowns.
• Complete regular site inspections to support pollution control and proper plant operation.
• Take part in incident reviews to help determine root causes and identify corrective actions.
• Act as a member of the CERT Team and contribute to emergency response activities when required.

Working Arrangement

This is a full-time on-site position in Singapore with a 12-hour shift pattern.
