Role Overview
Vast Group is hiring an Operations Manager in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia for a full-time onsite position. This role is intended for someone who can design and scale operational systems, guide teams, improve the merchant journey, and keep execution moving quickly as the company grows.
The position sits close to executive leadership and owns the operational flow behind merchant onboarding, activation, support coordination, and day-to-day service delivery. The goal is to turn signed merchant contracts into active, well-supported, and satisfied customers.

Vast Group is a Saudi startup in the fintech space focused on modern payment experiences for businesses and individuals. Its products use NFC and QR technology to support a digital-first payments environment in Saudi Arabia.
What You Will Do
- Lead the operations and merchant onboarding teams.
- Take ownership of operational KPIs, service standards, onboarding timelines, and merchant activation goals.
- Build, refine, and standardize workflows and operating procedures.
- Coordinate closely with Sales, Product, Engineering, Finance, and Customer Success to keep delivery aligned.
- Track performance, spot inefficiencies, and introduce automation and process improvements where needed.
- Create and maintain dashboards, reports, and metrics that support decision-making.
- Ensure the merchant onboarding journey runs smoothly from contract signing through activation.
- Keep onboarding efficient and aligned with agreed timelines.
- Manage integrations with payment providers, POS platforms, and external partners.
- Watch onboarding pipelines and remove blockers before they slow progress.
- Maintain strong onboarding documentation, training materials, and merchant communication standards.
- Hire, coach, and develop team members across operations and onboarding.
- Set goals, accountability measures, and clear performance expectations.
- Promote a team culture built on ownership, speed, collaboration, and customer focus.
- Run performance reviews, coaching conversations, and development initiatives.
- Resolve operational issues quickly and serve as an escalation point for urgent merchant problems.
- Work with support teams to strengthen merchant satisfaction and retention.
- Identify repeat issues and build long-term fixes.
- Design scalable frameworks that can support rapid growth.
- Put controls, documentation, and SOPs in place to support consistent execution.
- Use technology and automation to reduce manual effort and improve efficiency.
- Support product launches, operational initiatives, and strategic projects.
Candidate Profile
The company is looking for a builder who can create scalable operations rather than simply follow an existing process. The right person should be comfortable with growth, ambiguity, and fast decision-making, while staying highly focused on quality and customer experience.
Experience Needed
- At least 7 years of experience in operations, customer success, merchant operations, or service delivery.
- Minimum 2 years of experience leading operational teams.
- Background in building and scaling processes in fast-growing startups.
- Experience in fintech, payments, SaaS, POS, technology, or other high-growth startup settings is strongly preferred.
- Experience in onboarding, implementation, activation, or merchant operations is a strong plus.
